I have been on the hunt for a deck that would connect to some of the darker energies for a while. The Tarot of the Vampires Deck was the one I tried, and I fell in love. For tarot readers out there, that might struggle with connecting to darker energies, (if you want to), this deck did that and provided great imagery and color which gives the deck a life of its own.

Starting with this deck, and how I feel about it. This deck first and foremost this deck is NOT for beginners. As the imagery in this deck holds a lot more meanings than just the base meanings. With this in mind, I do love the added extra meanings to the cards and I have found the deck to be quite helpful and accurate with readings pertaining to True Crime, or the darker aspects/underbelly of society. AS A WORD OF WARNING, this deck does a great job of tapping into the darker energies, so please be careful and use your best judgment if you are well and able to handle such energies.

Going into the construction of the cards and their feel. This deck is great for people with smaller hands, and it shuffles well, as the cards aren't too thick. Aside from the cardstock, the imagery is beautiful, doesn't fade, and the edging has not torn away or split from side (knock on wood). Going into the cardstock a little more, it does not need a ton of breaking in, an it can be a little = flimsy at times. The thinness of the cardstock does make the deck very easy to shuffle though, whether that be by riffle shuffling or just the regular shuffle.

The last part I wanted to go over was the imagery on the cards. For many readers, imagery is a huge part of reading tarot and this deck shines in that department. Reviewing the imagery and colors, the deck has a lot of hidden meanings within the imagery and most of the time when I'm reading with deck, the images rather than the card's original meaning have more relevance. This deck also has a ton of color and vibrancy that brings the deck alive while also tapping into darker energies which I've found is hard to find, at least for me.

Overall, this is one of my go to decks when reading into True Crime or darker aspects of situations or people. I would not use this deck as an everyday deck to do general energy reads, but if you're looking to tap into darker energies and get to the bottom of some things, I would highly recommend using it. As a word of warning, I would also like to say this deck with it's imagery, coloring and dark energies it taps into, it can reveal some darker aspects of humanity and if you are not prepared, I would hold on using it.
